Short note from Courtney and me to let everyone know we are o.k.

As many of you noted, we do not live anywhere near the coast, however due to the holidays a number of our friends went to vacation in the south of India and to Sri Lanka. There are no reports yet of Americans who died in India, and no reports yet of embassy people dieing in any of the area countries.

While the embassy was spared any loss of life, it does not begin to diminish the enormity of the tragedy. 27,000+ people is a huge figure and it may take them weeks to account for everyone who is missing.

During this holiday season, especially in light of recent tragedies, Courtney and I hope that you are having a safe, healthy and relaxed time with your family and friends. Courtney's father and brother are visiting us for the holidays, and they are safe and sound as well.
