Because our wedding is Memorial Day weekend, please be sure to make your hotel reservation early! Below you will find: There are three main airports near DC: National, Dulles and BWI. Here is a brief overview of how to get from the airport to the Mayflower and to the Key Bridge. It is not required that you have a car for the weekend, but if you prefer to rent a car there are many options available to you. All of our events our centrally located and accessible via taxi and metro. Our favorite site to get around the city on the metro is: http://www.wmata.com In general, taxis are inexpensive. Flying into National: From national you can take a taxi to the Key Bridge Marriott ($14) or to the Mayflower ($18). But it is also very easy to jump on the metro and take the metro to Rosslyn for the Key Bridge Marriott or to Faragut North for the Mayflower. Far and away, National is the easiest airport to fly into. Flying into Dulles:
There is a bus that goes from Dulles to Rosslyn and then L'Enfant
Plaza. Take the 5A bus to Rosslyn (if you are staying
at the Key Bridge) or to L'Enfant Plaza (if you are staying at the
MayFlower) Flying into BWI: Usually
the cheepest way to get to DC from St. Louis is via BWI in Baltimore
and then take the MARC commuter train to DC. MARC tickets are under
$10. The disadvantage
is that it takes a while, and it only
runs Monday-Friday (and probably doesn't run on Memorial Day). We have reserved rooms for two hotels. We recommend most guests stay at Marriott Renaissance Mayflower which is only five blocks from the reception, a short 10 minute drive to the church, and very close to Dupont and Faraget North Metro Stops. The group rate for rooms at this hotel will cost about $159 a night. In addition, we reserved some rooms at Key Bridge Marriott in Rosslyn We reserved some rooms there because it is also a nice hotel, but a lot cheaper at $109 a night (again, group rate). The Key Bridge Marriott is very close to the church but it is farther away from the reception. The Key Bridge Marriott is probably at $15/20 minute cab ride (or possible Metro) trip away from the reception. We will provide transportation from both hotels to the church and from the church to the reception. However, from the reception back to the hotel you will either need to walk, metro or taxi. In general, we recommend staying at the Mayflower because it is a beautiful hotel in the heart of Washington and it is where the wedding party will be staying. However, both are nice places, so we leave it up to you. | ||

This
10-story hotel four blocks from the White House and five blocks
from the DACOR Beacon House opened in 1925 for Calvin Coolidge's
inauguration. Franklin Delano Roosevelt wrote "We
have nothing to fear but fear itself" in Suite 776, and J. Edgar
Hoover ate here at the same table every day for 20 years. Guest
rooms are filled with antiques and have marble bathrooms. Contemporary
Mediterranean cuisine is served at the Café Promenade
restaurant amid silver, crystal, and flower arrangements. The Town and
Country Lounge
is famous for bartender Sam Lek's martinis. Right next to Farragut North
metro stop and near to the Dupont Metro, this is a wonderful hotel in
a fantastic location. For more details, check out: www.renaissancehotels.com.

The hotel even provides a shuttle to the station as well as to Georgetown and Dupont Circle. Rooms on the Potomac side offer excellent Washington views, as does the rooftop restaurant.
